    Description

1930-31 Cincinnati Reds Game Worn Uniform with Leo Durocher Pants. As the birthplace of professional baseball, Cincinnati will always be hallowed ground to the baseball historian, who will surely be impressed by this incredibly scarce full uniform dating to the darkest hours of the Great Depression. The heavy flannel pinstriped jersey features a well worn team logo design over the heart with no number on verso nor any remnants thereof, as the Reds adopted the practice of wearing jersey numbers in 1932. Extensive wear and multiple repairs are evident throughout, suggesting minor league usage well beyond its original season of issue. The tail has been trimmed rather crudely, leaving behind what appears to be remnants of the original embroidering in the tail, including what may be a number "28," a possible year indicator as this style was utilized for several seasons. "Spalding" label resides at interior collar.

The matching pants are identical in design and heavy wear, but provide added appeal in the form of an embroidered "Durocher" at the button fly path. There is no other tagging or identifiers to be found. Despite the heavy wear the uniform presents very nicely as an ensemble, and condition flaws must be forgiven in light of the tremendous scarcity. LOA from Lou Lampson.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
