    October 1, 1939 New York Yankees Ticket with Lou Gehrig Photo. Lou Gehrig retired on July 4, 1939 and gave his now famous "Luckiest Man" speech to a solemn crowd at Yankee Stadium. Display includes a ticket from the last scheduled regular season game at Yankee Stadium in 1939, a game that went unplayed. Full ticket has a couple of tack holes, but displays nicely. Includes image of Lou Gehrig that measures approximate 9" x 12" and is framed and matted for overall dimensions of 17-1/2" x 23".
