2003 ALCS New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox Game 3 Full Ticket Signed By Pedro Martinez, PSA Gem Mint 10 Auto 10. Game 3 of the 2003 American League Championship Series (ALCS) between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees took place on October 11, 2003, at Fenway Park. The game is particularly remembered for a significant incident involving Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez and Yankees bench coach Don Zimmer.The game was tense and featured high emotions from both teams. In the fourth inning, after Martinez hit Yankees outfielder Karim Garcia with a pitch, the benches cleared, and a brawl ensued. During the altercation, Zimmer charged at Martinez, who then threw Zimmer to the ground, escalating the tension and intensity of the game.
The Yankees won the game 4-3, thanks in part to a strong performance by starter Roger Clemens and key hits from their lineup. The victory gave the Yankees a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. The 2003 ALCS would later be known for its dramatic Game 7, where Aaron Boone's walk-off home run in extra innings sent the Yankees to the World Series.
