Mike Piazza, one of the greatest offensive catchers in MLB history, enjoyed a stellar 16-year career primarily with the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets. Piazza was renowned for his powerful hitting, amassing 427 home runs, the most ever by a catcher, and maintaining a .308 career batting average. A 12-time All-Star and 10-time Silver Slugger Award winner, Piazza's impact was felt both at the plate and behind it, despite initial doubts about his defensive skills. His clutch performances, including a memorable home run in the first game in New York after the 9/11 attacks, cemented his legacy, leading to his induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016.
