Description

1973 Nolan Ryan Signed NLCS Ticket Stub, PSA/DNA Gem Mint 10. Nolan Ryan's career with the New York Mets marked the beginning of his legendary journey, showcasing flashes of brilliance despite inconsistency and limited usage. Pitching for the Mets from 1966 to 1971, Ryan was a young, hard-throwing right-hander known for his overpowering fastball and high strikeout totals-but also for wildness and control issues. His most notable contribution came in 1969, when he played a key role in the Mets' stunning World Series championship run, especially with a clutch relief appearance in the NLCS.

While Ryan never fully blossomed in New York, his raw talent was evident. After being traded to the California Angels in 1971, he evolved into a dominant ace. In hindsight, the Mets' decision to trade Ryan is considered one of the most lopsided in baseball history, as he went on to become one of the game's all-time greats.

Offered is a ticket stub to Game 3 of the 1973 NLCS, which was held at Shea Stadium. Ryan, then a member of the California Angels, signed the stub in blue Sharpie. Graded PSA/DNA Gem Mint 10.
