Description

1965 Sandy Koufax Perfect Game Ticket Stub, PSA Authentic. One would think that anyone in the early 1960's attending a game pitched by Sandy Koufax would plan to keep their tickets and programs, assuming he was going to do something spectacular. After all, he had already thrown three no-hitters prior to 1965, but on September 9, 1965 he outdid himself by hurling a Perfect Game. Retiring all 27 batters, Koufax was surprisingly not overmatching his opponent by much. Cubs pitcher Bob Hendley had a no-hitter himself going into the seventh inning and only gave up one unearned run. It may have been the most spectacular two-sided pitching display in baseball history.

The offered ticket stub from that game is a simple lime green Reserved ticket originally selling for $2.50. With creases and two staple holes, the ticket would grade Fair, but is still a rare representation from that memorable game. This is the only ticket from this perfect game slabbed by the experts according to the PSA population report. Encapsulated by PSA, Authentic.
