Description

1962 New York Mets Opening Day Ticket Stub. A franchise is born! Though the 120 losses suffered by this first incarnation of the new National League franchise from New York City would lead manager Casey Stengel to famously exclaim, "Can't anybody here play this game?!," the 1962 squad still holds a special place in the hearts of Mets faithful. The presented stub was from the inaugural Polo Grounds home game, a four to three loss to the Roberto Clemente's Pittsburgh Pirates. It presents superbly, although it does exhibits heavy light creasing throughout.
