1956 New York Yankees vs. Brooklyn Dodgers World Series Ticket Stubs Lot of 3 with Don Larsen Perfect Game 5. In a rematch of the 1955 world Series, the Brooklyn Dodgers would defend their championship against their rival New York Yankees in 1956. It would prove to be a heated battle, taking New York the full seven games to emerge victorious. Most amazing of all was Game Five, in which Yankees hurler Don Larsen, given only a few hours notice he was to start, threw a perfect game. It will forever be preserved in baseball memory as one of the finest performances ever in the World Series.

Offered in this lot is a stub from that perfect Game Five, with a notation on the ticket in ball point pen that is was "Larsen's No-Hitter." Perhaps the original owner of the ticket was actually unaware that it was no mere no-hitter, but pure perfection. Neatly torn as part of the cancellation process, the ticket exhibits no other major defects to note other than minor normal wear. Also included in this lot are stubs for games six and seven, likewise in Very Good condition. Of note for Game Seven is that this is the final game that Jackie Robinson would appear in.
