    Description

1955 Brooklyn Dodgers vs. New York Yankees World Series Tickets Stubs Full Run of Seven & Two Press Passes. Few teams looked forward to facing the dreaded New York Yankees juggernauts of the 1950's. The Brooklyn Dodgers had already squared off against the Yanks four times previously, between 1947 and 1953. For "Dem Bums," however, 1955 proved to be a different scenario. It took a full seven games, but behind MVP Johnny Podres and his 2-0 record with a 1.00 ERA, the Dodgers took home the title. Here we document that fabled October with a stub from each and every game. Games 1, 2 and 3 are EX/MT while the remainder are Very Good. Also included here are two Press badges - one for famed boxing writer Nat Fleischer for Yankee Stadium (Poor to Fair), and one for a Dayton newspaper employee for Ebbets Field (NM).
