Description

1951 World Series Game 1 Ticket Stub. The 1951 World Series marked an important transition not only affecting the New York Yankees organization, but for baseball on a whole. The Clipper Joe DiMaggio tipped his cap in this series against the rival New York Giants, finishing his career as the Commerce Comet Mickey Mantle got his first taste of October baseball. The offered stub comes from the opening game of that '51 series, a 5-1 Giants win at Yankee Stadium. Minor surface wrinkles merit the piece to fall in the VG to VG-EX range.
