1951 Mickey Mantle Debut New York Yankees Opening Day Ticket Stub, PSA Poor 1. Opening Day is always a thrill for Major League Baseball fans, but few present at the April 17, 1951 return to the Bronx could have imagined how special this particular edition was. Joining the veteran Joe DiMaggio in the outfield was a nineteen-year old kid from Oklahoma who would blossom into the greatest baseball hero of the Baby Boomer generation. The original owner of the presented relic witnessed the dawning of this new era from the Lower Stand and presciently saved the stub as a souvenir, now one of nineteen on the PSA population chart. The stub exhibits creasing and toning consistent with its technical grade, but the historic significance is not undone. Every quality Mickey Mantle collection begins here.
