    Description

1947 "Babe Ruth Day" New York Yankees Ticket Stub.
With a collective tear in their eyes, Yankee Stadium patrons said farewell to Babe Ruth on April 27, 1947. Because he was battling the cancer which would eventually take his life, Ruth was a shell of his former self. This crease free ticket was owned by one of the lucky fans sitting in the stands that tearful day. The corners have rounded but the ticket is EX/MT. "Wash 1 Yanks 0" is carefully written on back. One of only three stubs from this contest on the PSA population report at this time. Encapsulated by PSA, Authentic.
