    1939 World Series Program, Full Ticket & Press Information. Baseball enjoyed it centennial celebration in 1939. True to form, the New York Yankees were the last team standing when the curtain came down on the historic season. While Lou Gehrig was no longer adorning pinstripes, the team paid tribute to their hero by dominating the Reds in four quick games. Offered is a full ticket to Game 2, program and press itinerary notes. The VG ticket (professionally restored) has a central crease and pencil writing and slight paper loss on the back but is intact. The unscored publication, featuring the likeness of the Iron Horse, has a crease down the middle.
