Description

1936 Babe Ruth Signed World Series Ticket Stub. Babe Ruth was always at the center of the baseball world. Even after he hung up the spikes he could cause quite the uproar when he was present. This ticket stub from Game 1 of the 1936 World Series is pasted to a little girl's scrapbook. Her father had an encounter with the baseball god at the opening act of the World Series. Ironically, it was the Yankees first World Series appearance without the Bambino. Ruth was there as a spectator, and signed this ticket in 9/10 pencil. We are sure the man who secured the autograph was probably keeping score with a pencil. The entire offering measures approximately 10x13" in length. A week in the life of the original owner is covered. Everything from knitting to going to the fair is revealed. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
