1934 Babe Ruth Signed 700th Career Home Run Ticket Stub, SGC Authentic. Four times as many men have walked on the moon as have set foot upon the lofty plateau where the Bambino planted his flag on July 13, 1934, when he sent a Tommy Bridges delivery over the right field wall of Briggs Stadium and onto the streets of the Motor City. The breakout blast would bring his career tally to an even 700, fourteen short of his ultimate career tally.

The New York Times wrote of the achievement, noting Ruth's own interest in a souvenir from the occasion:

"Today a youth was happy and richer by $20. Even before he circled the bases, Ruth was shouting to mates on the field: "I want that ball! I want that ball!" Emissaries were sent scurrying after the youth who recovered the ball after it cleared the fence, and it was restored to Ruth in the Yankee dugout, in exchange for $20."

Another Tigers fan understood the enormity of the accomplishment and wisely sought out Ruth before heading home, presenting his ticket stub to the proud slugger for an autograph. It appears in 7/10 blue fountain pen ink on verso, grazed by vintage tape applied to reinforce a delicate crease. Ticket exhibits storage and handling wear, but its elite significance, particularly as one of just two known signed examples, is entirely unaffected. Encapsulated by SGC, Authentic (ticket). Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
