Description

1927 World Series Game Four Ticket Stub. Presented is a rare stub for the final game of the 1927 Yankees season, a contest that ended with Earle Combs dashing across home plate on a wild pitch from Pirates right-hander Johnny Miljus in the bottom of the ninth to walk off with the franchise's second World Championship. Ruth contributed three of the Yankees' four runs this day with an RBI single in the first and a two-run blast in the fifth. It would be the very first World Championship celebrated at the House that Ruth Built, the 1923 finale having been contested just across the river at the Polo Grounds. Stub rates a technical Poor with better aesthetics.
