Description

1927 Lou Gehrig Barnstorming Photograph. Awesome shot at Dexter Park in Brooklyn dates from just after Murderer's Row left the Pittsburgh Pirates in a bloody Fall Classic heap. This is the best action shot of the Iron Horse we've ever seen, the trajectory of the ball rocketing off Gehrig's bat spelling out "HOME RUN" in bold block letters. This would have been an early stop on the Bustin' Babes/Larrupin' Lous tour. Type 1 image measures 4.5x6.5" with clipped upper right border, otherwise EX-MT. "Brown Brothers" photography stamping on verso.
