    Description

1926 New York Yankees vs. St. Louis Cardinals World Series Game Six Ticket Stub. It wouldn't be often in the 1920's that the New York Yankees would go to a World Series and end up on the short end of the stick, but in 1926, the St. Louis Cardinals proved victorious in their first World Series appearance. Beating the Yankees four games to three, the Cardinals won partially on the strong arm of Grover Cleveland Alexander. The Yankees would go on to field the best team in baseball history the following season. The offered Game 6 ticket stub is from a Cardinals win, with Alexander picking up his second win in the Series. It rates in VG-EX condition with just a few very light, small wrinkles on one edge.
