Description

1921 World Series Game Six Full Ticket - From New York Yankees First Fall Classic Appearance! One of the unusual best-of-nine formats used in a few World Series matches, the 1921 match-up pitted John McGraw's New York Giants against the upstart New York Yankees. The Giants were a throwback team, still playing firmly in the deadball style, while Babe Ruth led the Yankees in the new school power game. Although the Giants would prove victorious this time, the Yankees' new breed of baseball would soon become the norm. Presented is one of the only known full tickets to Game Six of the series - an 8-5 Giants triumph as Jesse Barnes registered his second win of the series. The A crease is located on the upper right corner and the reverse has two spots of paper loss. Light residue remnants are also visible on back. The corners have expected rounding. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Authentic.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
