1942 Who's Who in Baseball Signed by Most Major League Players. When it comes to a piece such as this, comprising literally hundreds of vintage autographs, it's just impossible to convey its holdings in catalog text and imagery. Clearly the pride and joy of a young fan who lived in a town blessed by teams in each League, the contents represent hours of waiting in hotel lobbies or the ballpark fence, pen in hand. Many of the autographs are signed beside the player's image, others seemingly randomly on pages of text. Ninety-eight percent remain in flawless 10/10 condition, and will be noted if otherwise. The only reasonable method to convey some sense of the piece is to list the Hall of Fame autographs, beginning at the first page, and continuing to the end. And so, here they are: Hubbard, Rizzuto (three, one cut signature taped in), Dickey (2, 1 signed image), Gomez, Ruffing, Combs (covered by tape), Doerr, Ted Williams (great signed image!), Lyons, Boudreau, Ferrell, Wynn, Mack, Mize (2, 1 signed image), Mel Allen, Lopez (3, 2 signed images), Durocher, Slaughter, Walters, Ott (signed image), Hubbell, Cuyler, Stengel, Kelly, Klein. Remember, this is just the Hall of Famers--there are dozens and dozens more! The softcover volume shows expected wear from a long and active life, but remains solid and complete. If you have the chance, come to our Dallas headquarters and flip through the pages yourself. It's the only way you'll really understand just how great this young fan's project turned out.
