Description

1949 Grover Cleveland Alexander Signed Chicago Cubs Program. The troubled inaugural class Hall of Famer was making one of his last (if not the very last) appearances at Wrigley Field during a 1949 visit by the St. Louis Cardinals when a fan spotted him and presented this program for an autograph. That blue ink application rates 9/10 on the interior scorecard. Program is vertically folded into quarters, but this barely affects the autograph. Alexander would pass away a year later, establishing his autograph as one of the toughest of those Hall of Famers alive after the Second World War. Full LOA from SGC. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
