Description

1941 Babe Ruth Signed World Series Program. We wonder which side the Babe supported in this first of many great Subway Series between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Yankees. After all, it was the Bums that gave the Babe his last Big League job, though one would hope that the Babe's heart was still wrapped in pinstripes. His 9/10 pencil autograph does appear on the Yankee side of the scale upon the cover of this program, and this is the Yankee version of the Fall Classic publication, if that gives any hint. The young collector's pencil autograph joins Ruth's on the cover, and a few marks are made to the interior scoresheet, but otherwise only typical edge, corner and spine wear is to be noted. A fine venue for this all-important autograph. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Auction LOA from PSA/DNA.
