Description

1928 World Series Program & Ticket Stub, Babe Ruth Three Home Run Game. After clubbing three home runs for a hospitalized child named Johnny Sylvester in a single 1926 World Series game against the St. Louis Cardinals, the great Bambino repeated the feat two years later, helping to close out a four-game sweep and avenge the 1926 Fall Classic defeat. Presented is a program and ticket stub once owned by a witness to this historic 1928 contest. The former is fully pencil scored at center and includes the next day's newspaper box score glued in place beside the Yankees score sheet. An ink notation on the cover is present, and the program remains clean and tightly bound with no problematic flaws beyond mild handling wear. The stub presents as EX-MT from the front, with scrapbook removal remnants and an ink notation on verso.
