Description

1924 World Series Program (Washington). Walter Johnson finally tastes World Championship glory! Official scorecard is a compelling relic from the Senators' only World Series victory, a thrilling seven-game affair which ended with Muddy Ruel's scamper home in the bottom of the final contest's twelfth inning to record the first walk-off win in Fall Classic history. The presented program is unscored, but the original owner has penciled in Johnson and Nehf as the starting pitchers for the Senators and Giants respectively, correct for the first contest on October fourth. The program remains solid and complete with no tearing or staining of note. A vertical center crease is the main condition issue, and likely a pressing could minimize this imperfection significantly. Various other minor bends and creases barely merit mention.
