Description

1922 World Series Program. A rematch of the 1921 Fall Classic produced the same result, as the Yankees would again fall to their National League landlords the New York Giants. This was the first year the Series was played as a best of seven contest and the presented program is fully pencil scored for the third Game, the day after the teams played to a controversial scoreless tie believed to have ended without a winner in an attempt to increase gate receipts rather than for a legitimate visibility problem. The center scorecard is detached but present, and there is splitting on the spine but no other loose pages beside that already noted. A heavy vertical center crease is to be noted, along with pencil writing on the cover and general wear throughout. VG.
