Description

1921 World Series Program. Coogan's Bluff became the center of the baseball world during the first half of October 1921 as the National and American League representatives calling that stadium home faced off for the first of three consecutive Fall Classic battles. The Yankees would fall in eight games in their first World Series appearance but this season could appropriately be considered the beginning of the ballclub's rise to the pinnacle of the sport. The tremendously scarce program is partially scored for Game Three, the fan apparently so stunned by the four runs recorded by each team in the third inning that he lost his pencil. Some tack holes along the spine, a vertical center bend, general toning and wear and a partially detached center scorecard must be noted but do little to distract. Technical VG with a superior appearance.
