1886 New York Metropolitans vs. Brooklyn Grays Scorecard - Stephen Brady Cover. Attractive and rare 19th Century scorecard pictures the Metropolitans' outfielder Stephen Brady with "The Great Mets" on the colorful cover. Issued to and neatly scored by a fan at the St. George Cricket Grounds in Staten Island on August 19, 1886 who saw his/her hometown Mets down their crosstown American Association rival Brooklyn Grays by a tally of 5-1. Measures approximately 5.75x7.75" opened. Exhibits separation on the top and bottom spine and a corner chip. Still, despite these distractions, this is a rare and gorgeous scorecard which displays marvelously.Auction Info
