Early 1930's Anonymous Pinbacks (PM11) Set of 10 with Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx. They're listed as PM11 in The Sports Collectors Bible and PR3-4 in Jefferson Burdick's American Card Catalog, but no collector has yet solved the mystery of this exceedingly rare issue's origin. The few experts to have studied this nearly unknown pinback breed seem to agree, however, that the full roster of subjects numbers ten, establishing this auction listing as the first (and likely the last) to feature the entire set.

The original artisans chose their targets wisely, as only Lefty O'Doul lacks Cooperstown immortality. The balance: Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Frisch, Klein, Grove, Cochrane, Simmons and Terry. While condition concerns seem almost silly when considering such a supremely endangered species, we can proudly report that the pins reveal little more than typical oxidation on verso to document eight decades of existence. Obverse of each remains clean and clear. Diameter 7/8". For the advanced pinback collector, this may well be the most exciting offering of 2017.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
