    Description

1949 World Series Press Pin (New York) - Casey Stengel's First WS Win. Knocking off the cross-town Brooklyn Dodgers for the second time in three years, the Bronx Bombers secured the first of five consecutive championships, running from '49 to '53. Tommy Henrich won Game One with the first walk-off home run in World Series History setting the tone for skipper Casey Stengel to win his first Fall Classic. Enamel graphics pop with color while the golden hues are nicely accented with an aged patina. Reverse has a threaded post and nut above the manufacturer's ("Dieges & Clust") stamp. Age and handling wear exhibited, but it displays well.
