Description

1923 World Series Press Pin (New York Yankees). The third time was a charm for the men in pinstripes, as the Yankees claimed their first of twenty-seven World Championships to date after consecutive defeats in 1921 and 1922. This historic pin was proudly sported in the press box of the infant Yankee Stadium at Games One, Three and Five, and then clearly hidden away in a safe place for decades afterward. Just the lightest tarnishing to the face of the pin suggests its advanced age, with the enamel free of flaws. Threaded post and original "Dieges & Clust" stamped nut on verso.
