    Description

1922 World Series Press Pin (New York Giants/Yankees). Tremendously scarce and desirable pin by noted jewelers Whitehead & Hoag is the only model issued for the 1922 Series, given the fact that the competing clubs shared their Polo Grounds home. For the second October in a row, the tenant Yankees would fall to their landlord Giants in a Series that would end the clubs' uneasy cohabitation and set the stage for a Yankee Stadium grand opening and World Championship glory in 1923. "Whitehead & Hoag" stamping appears upon brooch back. Minor enamel wear is barely evident to the naked eye, and far more pronounced in our oversized, high-resolution imagery. One of the finer representations we've encountered.
