1910's Chief Bender Trap Shooting Award Badge. The Hall of Fame pitcher for Connie Mack's first great Philadelphia Athletics dynasty was also known to be one the nation's top marksmen, and toured for a time with the Winchester Arms Company, ranked among the best ten trap shooters in the sport. Presented is a unique award badge from his exploits, noting various streaks of targets hit without a miss. Reverse announces "Long Run Trophy" and bears the imprint of the "Dupont" company and an engraved, "C.A. Bender, Phila. PA." Black silk ribbon is somewhat tattered but the metal portion of the prize is undamaged.Auction Info
