Description

Roger Maris Signed Photograph. This 8x10" black and white photograph shows Roger Maris looking at a possible home run. As half of the "M&M Boys," Maris may not have had the career statistics Mickey Mantle had, but he sure had a season to remember in 1961. As the season got underway, Maris and Mantle were surging back and forth in the home run lead. Not only were they challenging each other, they were also on pace to reach Babe Ruth's historic mark of sixty home runs. As the season wore on, Maris became increasingly anxious about the record, to the point of having his hair fall out in clumps. Yet, he pulled it off in the final game of the season, belting number 61 for the new title. Offered is a 12x15" (in frame) blue sharpie signed photograph of the two-time MVP. Light wear exhibited. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
