Description

Mickey Mantle Signed 1969 "Mickey Mantle Day" Display. The Mick returns to the adoring arms of the Bronx crowd to which he had said goodbye the previous October. In one of the most divisive times in our nation's history, this event stands as one of the bright points of the summer of '69, as Mantle received the appreciation he deserved by seeing his glorious number "7" retired for eternity. The cover of the forty-five r.p.m. record that documents his farewell speech bears a 7x7"photo of Mickey taking it all in, and it is signed in perfect blue sharpie by the man himself. The vinyl, apparently in top condition, is matted and framed above, bringing the final dimensions of the piece to 11x20". LOA from PSA/DNA.
