Late 1930's Jimmie Foxx Signed Photograph. Feared as both an Athletic and Red Sox, Double X amassed 534 home runs in a career that saw him garner three league MVPs, two World Series championships and a Triple Crown in 1933.

In the photo on offered here, The Beast displays the raw power of his swing and physique as a Red Sox. Yankees Hall of Fame catcher Billy Dickey said this to say about Foxx's power:"If I were catching blindfolded, I would always know if it was Foxx who connected. He hit the ball harder than anyone else." Meanwhile, another Hall of Famer, Ted Lyons, had this to say about Foxx's physique. "He had great powerful arms, and he used to wear his sleeves cut off way up, and when he dug in and raised that bat, his muscles would bulge and ripple"

Double-matted and framed to 14.5x17" (the image is 7x9") the EX-MT image area retains most of its original gloss, with light crazing and a few corner creases to the white margins which do not detract from Foxx's image. Grand blue ink autograph is well-centered to Foxx himself, beginning with a huge, curvy "J." Two cut-out portions on the back of the frame allow an observer to view the "Photo By -- Herman Seid, Cleveland Press Photographer" stamp and PSA/DNA (C76308) sticker, which appear on the back on the photo. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.
