Circa 1947 Babe Ruth Photograph On Display at Yankee Stadium. Yankee Stadium and Babe Ruth were intertwined into baseball's long and glorious fiber. The Babe himself christened Yankee Stadium as he hit a Ruthian moon shot which qualified as the first true highlight. Rightfully so, Yankee Stadium was dubbed "The House that Ruth built" after that poignant moment.

This framed display (15.75x13" exposed/21x18" framed) shows an aging Ruth in his pinstriped best. We estimate the vintage as 1947 as you can see the effects of the cancer that would ultimately take his life. While Ruth is not gaunt, he has lost considerable weight. But you can still see that glimmer in his eye. Maybe putting on the old pinstripes and that interlocking "NY" cap was a good remedy. This exact oversized photo was on display at Yankee Stadium for years. Generations of fathers and sons probably walked by this very photo and paid homage to the one and only Ruth.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
