Circa 1940s Christy Mathewson Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 4. Produced from a duplicate negative of an image captured during the 1911 season which saw Big Six finish second in MVP voting after winning a blistering 26 games with a 1.99 ERA (along with three Herculean efforts in his team's World Series defeat) this 4x6" photograph depicts Mathewson at the peak of his powers. General wear consistent with a working photo found throughout with some creasing. Reverse has multiple identifiers as well as Oregonian filing captions. An affordable image of one of the original Hall of Famers. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA Type 4.
