Description
Circa 1930 Dave Bancroft Signed Photograph. We suspect this is a later print, and a later autograph, but Bancroft left the Giants in 1932 after the team appointed Bill Terry to replace John McGraw, so the shot itself must predate that occasion. Beauty shares a conversation with fellow future Hall of Famer Rogers Hornsby in this shot, and signs his image at lower right in 9/10 blue ink. Photo is 8x10", stamped "United Press International Photo" on verso. This photo was consigned to auction by the Bancroft family directly. Letter of provenance from Bancroft family.
