Circa 1927 Eddie Collins Original Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. Eddie "Cocky" Collins was a member of two of baseball's most storied teams, one legendary and the other infamous. The second baseman and highest paid member of Connie Mack's "$100,000 Infield" Collins helped lead the Athletics to a trio of World Series titles. Following his first stint in the City of Brotherly Love, Mack sold his middle-infielder to the Chicago White Sox for $50,000 in 1914. Five seasons later, while still in Chicago Collins became wrapped up in the Black Sox scandal when the 1919 World Series was thrown by his teammates, but despite his .226 batting average he is believed to have played his hardest.

Presented here is an original image of Collins from circa 1927, and it is graded as a Type 1 example by the experts at PSA/DNA. Measuring at 8x10", it exhibits light wear throughout. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
