    Description

Circa 1927 Babe Ruth Photograph by Paul Thompson, PSA/DNA Type 1. Magnificent image is the work of Paul Thompson, one of the most revered and collectible baseball photographers of his age. The scene was a common one, but never captured with more artistry--the Babe completing a home run trot. Editorial markings on front only add to the appeal. Further notations appear on verso, along with "Copyright by Paul Thompson, New York" stamping and a sticker attributing the piece to the 1996 sale of the "Baseball Magazine" archives. Small border chip at lower right corner is well clear of the image itself and represents the main condition flaw. Size 6.5x8.5". LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
