    Description

Circa 1921 Waite Hoyt Original News Photograph by Charles Conlon - Used for 1933 Goudey Card, PSA/DNA Type 1. "Schoolboy" Waite Hoyt was just fifteen when he signed with the Giants in 1915 but is best remembered for his Roaring Twenties affiliation with that team from the Bronx, which won six pennants and three World Series. The "Aristocrat of Baseball" bowed out the majors with 237 wins and bowed into the Cooperstown in 1969. This image measures 6x8" and was captured by famed lensman Charles Conlon. "Pacific & Atlantic Photo" is stamped on back. At least one surface divot is on front. This photo was the one which Hoyt's 1933 Goudey card was modeled after. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Type 1.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
