    Description

Circa 1919 Jim Thorpe Original Photograph by Charles Conlon, PSA/DNA Type 1. He played just 289 games of Major League ball over a six-year span, so it's a little surprising that baseball images of the Pro Football Hall of Famer are few and far between. This may be the best that exists, a classic throwing pose captured by the godfather of Dead Ball Era photography, Charles Conlon. This 7x9.5" image has some paper loss to the lower left bottom and edge wear/chipping. The reverse features a "Charles Conlon" stamp and "Jim Thorpe Boston News" in pencil. Four pieces of tape are also visible on back. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
