    Description

Circa 1919 Happy Felsch Original News Photograph by Paul Thompson, PSA/DNA Type 1. The Black Sox centerfielder batted an anemic .192 in the 1919 World Series, but he looks like a pure natural at the plate in this image by esteemed lensman Paul Thompson, whose studio stamp appears on verso. The 8.5x6.5" image presents virtually perfectly, with no creasing, chipping or tearing. Thompson's handwritten notation and a sticker indicating this photo was part of the "Baseball Magazine" deaccession sale in 1996 likewise appear on verso. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
