    Description

Circa 1919 Claude "Lefty" Williams Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. He went zero-and-three in the 1919 World Series, letting the Cincinnati Reds light him up like a Christmas tree at the behest of crooked gamblers. A handwritten notation on verso reads, "Chicago Americans, Williams, 9-1919," so this image almost certainly dates to that fateful season. Dimensions are 9x6.75". Edge and corner wear is evident, with a small tear at bottom center and an adhesive nameplate affixed at lower left. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
