    Description

Circa 1910s Jimmy Lavender Original Photograph by Charles Conlon, PSA/DNA Type 1. With a name befitting a 1970s jazz club owner rather than a Deadball era pitcher Jimmy Lavender pitched to a 3.09 career ERA from 1912 to 1917 for the Cubs and Phillies. Shot by the unparalleled Charles M. Conlon warming up before a game in 1913 this 8x10" photograph. Handling wear evident in the corners with pinholes and chipping. Missing lower left corner does not impact the image. Touch of paper loss below Lavender's right leg. Conlon stamping with graphite identifiers and Sporting News Collection hologram upon the reverse. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
