Circa 1908 Billy Purtell Photograph by Carl Horner--His E90-3 Portrait. Rookie-era image finds the young infielder in the navy blue road uniform of the Chicago White Sox, the team Purtell represented for his first three seasons in the Bigs. Trading card collectors may recognize the pose from the popular 1910 American Caramel issue, but this is the first Horner original we've ever encountered. The image measures 3.75x5.5" in size and presents wonderfully with no wear beyond light edge and corner touches. From the famous "Baseball Magazine" archives. Type 1. LOA from PSA/DNA.
