Bill Sunday Signed Original Photograph. Billy Sunday took an odd path to notoriety, becoming one of the first popular stars of organized baseball during the 1880's before going on to become one of the most influential evangelists for the first two decades of the 20th century. Sunday traveled the country preaching the word of Christian conservatism to perhaps more than any one person has up until that point. Inscribed to his friend "C.C. Shaw", this handsome studio portrait that we present of Sunday here sports elegant black fountain ink along its bottom edge. Measuring at 7.75x9.5", this piece exhibits moderate wear and a 7/10 signature. Auction LOA from JSA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
