Description
1973 Tom Yawkey Signed Newspaper Photograph. The Hall of Fame executive purchased the struggling Boston Red Sox in 1933 and dedicated the next forty-four years to building winning teams. Despite this long term of service, Yawkey autographs are tough to come by, particularly signed images such as the one we present here. The blue ink inscription, "Best Wishes to Russ From Tom Yawkey," presents as a perfect 10/10 against the white background of Yawkey's shirt. The tabloid format newspaper measures 10x13", with the color image of Yawkey commanding most of that area. Minor toning is the only condition issue to report, otherwise NRMT. LOA from PSA/DNA.
