    1963 Sandy Koufax Sets World Series Record Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. The greatest pitcher of the 1960's on his greatest day. The triple Cy Young winner retired the first five Yankees he faced on strikes to open the 1963 World Series to tie Mort Cooper's 1943 record for strong starts, before dispatching another ten in the same manner to best fellow Dodger Carl Erskine's single Fall Classic game record of fourteen set exactly a decade earlier. This classic action shot from that dominant first inning by UPI photographer Joel Schrank was later utilized for Koufax' 1964 Topps trading card. This pristine 7x9" print features original paper caption and UPI stamping on verso. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
