Description

1960's Tom Yawkey Signed Photograph. Even many of the most sophisticated Red Sox autograph collections lack this tough Hall of Fame signature, as it tends to be the guys swinging the bats that get most of the attention. New Englanders owe a genuine debt of gratitude to this man, however, as it was Yawkey that purchased a floundering Red Sox franchise in 1933 and dedicated the next forty-four years of his life toward fostering talent like Williams and Yastrzemski in an earnest attempt at capturing World Championship glory. This 3x4.75" black and white image, appearing to be some sort of blank-backed exhibit card, features a simply flawless black ink signature from a man who died twenty-eight years too soon to see his dream become a reality. The autograph is slabbed by PSA/DNA for preservation and unquestioned authenticity. LOA from PSA/DNA.
